BASE CAMP HOUSE

Lee3.jpg

Mill Valley | CA

Nestled in the scenic landscape of Mill Valley, Base Camp House is designed to harmonize with its natural surroundings. Positioned with a direct relationship to Mt. Tamalpais and the expansive Marin County open space, the house opens up to breathtaking, undeveloped vistas, creating a seamless flow between the built environment and nature. The architecture embraces the contours of the land, integrating natural wood siding that blends into the earthy tones of the terrain. Roof terraces provide expansive outdoor living spaces, further connecting the home to its environment. The design of the home is mindful of its setting, with trees, windows, and eaves carefully arranged to maintain privacy while maximizing views and natural light. These elements along with a long peaceful swimming pool enhance the comfort of both the interiors and exteriors while encouraging a strong connection to the outdoors. This project is a testament to the delicate balance of modern living within the context of the natural beauty of Mill Valley.
