This project transforms a 1950s midcentury modern single-story home into a serene hillside retreat. Located on a gently sloping private intimate site, the house offers dramatic views of Mt. Tamalpais, Richardson Bay, and the extensive vistas of Sausalito. The design goal was to create a seamless flow between the indoors and outdoors, ensuring every room connects with nature. A standout focus feature is the stunning infinity-edge pool which enhances the sense of connection between the house and to the surrounding landscape.The architecture design balances quiet simplicity with the close textures of the landscape and distant views, fostering a harmonious dialog between introspection and expansive sight lines,.This secluded retreat offers a perfect balance of tranquility and immersion in its natural setting, with both the infinity pool and sweeping views amplifying the home's serene atmosphere.
