Act Locally - Commercial Renovations
Mill Valley | CA
Our firm has had the privilege of renovating iconic buildings in the heart of downtown Mill Valley, blending historical preservation with modern functionality. These projects have focused on enhancing accessibility, restoring architectural integrity, and addressing the evolving needs of the community.
One notable project involved reworking the historic brick alley as part of Sammy Hagar and Tyler Florence’s revamped El Paseo restaurant. We solved ADA compliance challenges by eliminating steps and addressing drainage issues, all while designing new walkways that seamlessly integrate with the original character of the space.
At Ravenscourt, we renovated much of the interior in keeping with the building's historic style. A new access ramp at the front entry deck was carefully designed to blend with the existing architectural and landscape elements, preserving the building’s aesthetic while improving accessibility.
Additional projects include a comprehensive renovation of the exterior walkways and interior hallways at Mill Creek Plaza, incorporating changes to meet ADA requirements, and the addition of a disabled access ramp at Greenwood School, ensuring inclusivity and preserving the historical context of these important community landmarks.
